Dr. Mohsen Hanifeh, DVM, DVSc, PhD

Dr. Mohsen Hanifeh—known as Dr. Mo—earned his DVM from Urmia University before completing a DVSc in Small Animal Internal Medicine (a residency training program) at the University of Tehran, Iran.

He later received a PhD in Veterinary Internal Medicine from the University of Helsinki, Finland, where he conducted research on canine chronic enteropathies as part of an international team.

Dr. Mo worked as an assistant professor at the University of Tabriz and co-founded a successful small animal clinic in Iran. At the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Helsinki, he conducted a postdoctoral clinical research project on fecal microbiota transplantation in dogs with antibiotic-responsive diarrhea. During this time, he also collaborated with well-known board-certified small animal internists and researchers, further enriching his research and clinical insights.

With over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research, Dr. Mo brings a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to veterinary care and is proud to be part of the Lynden Animal Clinic team, providing compassionate and high-quality care to pets and their families.

Dr. Mo lives with his wife and two sons. Outside the clinic, he enjoys hiking, soccer, exploring nature and spending quality time with his family.
