Lynden Animal Clinic’s Mission Statement
Is to strive to provide the highest quality veterinary care for our patients, considering the needs and expectations of their guardians. We hope to provide veterinary care in a relaxed rural atmosphere, combining good old fashioned customer service, with modern veterinary medicine and technology.
Dr Alex Campbell opened the Lynden Animal Clinic in the early 1960’s.
Even though his initial emphasis was on horses, he treated all types of pets, establishing the Lynden Animal Clinic as a mixed animal practice.
In 1974 Dr. Campbell hired Dr. Edward Fritsch as an associate, then in 1977 he sold the clinic to Dr. Fritsch. While studying to become a doctor of veterinary medicine at Guelph University, Brent Babcock began volunteering here at the clinic. Upon graduating in 1987, Dr. Babcock was hired as an associate and went on to become a partner in 1991.
In August of 2005 Dr. Babcock bought the remaining part of the practice from Dr. Fristch and became the sole owner of the clinic. To adapt to the changing needs in Lynden and the surrounding areas, in April 2005 the Lynden Animal Clinic stopped doing mixed animal practice to concentrate on small animal medicine and surgery, and updating the clinic in many ways.
From its rural beginnings, through to the present day the Lynden Animal Clinic strives to do the best for your pets, in a relaxed country atmosphere, while continuing to offer the latest options available in modern veterinary medicine and technology.
